Meet Our Staff
Pastor Mark grew up as a preacher's kid and began preaching himself when he was 14. He graduated Cum Laude from Lee University in 1991. After that, he spent some years evangelizing, then at a couple pastorates before coming to Parkway Ministries. He and his lovely wife, Jennifer, have two beautiful daughters both married to their high-school sweethearts, and one granddaughter.
Pastor Mark travels from time to time on short-term missions trips as God opens the door. He has a heart for revival and is very involved with the prayer movement in Kentucky. He does some writing for national religious publications and always takes the opportunity to pray with and try to add value to the lives of other pastors and their wives. He has served on numerous denominational boards and committees.
Psalms 37:4 is Pastor Mark's life verse. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." He believes that being something great is far more important than doing something great. He tries to order his priorities accordingly and strives to live a life of prayer.
Jennifer Hisle is a native of Salyersville, KY, and attended Morehead State University. She and Mark met when he came to preach a revival at her home church. They married in 1993. Jennifer spent some years as a stay-at-home mom and currently works in the public school system. She is very active in ministry, working alongside her husband. She has been heavily involved in church administration, worship, youth ministry, event planning, teaching, and women's ministry.
While Jennifer is grateful for all the opportunities God has given her, she is most proud of her ministry as a mother to their two beautiful daughters, Emily and Ellie, and as Row Row to Harlyn Palmer. Along with that, she and Pastor Mark feel compelled in their role of spiritual mothering and fathering to a new generation both in the natural and spiritual dimension.
Jennifer's life-long conviction that God really does "work all things together for the good" has sustained her through all the ups and downs of a ministry calling that can sometimes prove to be bittersweet. She loves to embrace the fun side of life in Christ in a way that resonates both with the crowd as well as the individual.
Jordan & Ellie Yaden
Jordan and Ellie Yaden are natives of the area. Both are heavily involved in different areas of ministry - including praise and worship, media, community outreach, and missions work. They are thankful for an upbringing that planted them on the foundation they now share. Married in 2020 as high school sweethearts, their hearts are for their marriage to be a ministry that glorifies God in all areas.
Jordan is a graduate of University of the Cumberlands, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Master’s Degree in Education. Aside from his work at Parkway, he is a full-time choral director at South Laurel High School. Ellie, a graduate of Union College, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and works as a critical care nurse at Baptist Health Corbin.
While the couple is new to the official title of “Worship Leader”, they are not new to ministry, nor are they new to utilizing worship as a paramount tool in ushering in the presence of the Lord. Above all, they long to see revival in the tri-county and in our nation, and believe that worship will be a key factor. They are confident that Praise and Worship aren’t confined to those on the stage, but rather are an invitation for everyone in the house to freely worship and celebrate the King of Kings.
First and foremost, Cathy loves the Lord and is so thankful for every opportunity He has given her to serve Him and His people. She is the mother of three wonderful children. She has been married to a very godly man, Mike, for nearly 29 years and her family grew with the addition of two stepdaughters . She and Mike have been blessed with 13 grandchildren through the years - as with most grandparents, they are the highlight of her life!
She became a member of Parkway Ministries in November of 2013. Before that, she was Pastor Mark's secretary at Parkway Praise Center in London and was highly honored when he offered her the same position here at Parkway Ministries in 2018. She currently serves Pastor as his Administrative Assistant, runs the church bookstore and is a great asset to our church.
Cathy has three life verses that have helped her along in this journey we call life but the one that has anchored her in the hard times would be Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
