From the Pastor's Desk
Some years back, Tim Hill wrote a song called "It Will Rain Again." The lyrics to the chorus are as follows:
It will rain again
The fruit will fill the vine
The stalk will bend with wheat
The grapes burst forth with wine
So go into your field
Your work is not in vain
God promised harvest
And I know it will rain
A few days ago, I got up about 4 or 5AM, sensing it may be God and not wanting to miss Him. I hadn't thought of that song in months, but it was rolling in my spirit as I prayed a while. Later, during my regular devotion time, I pondered it, wondering if it was God or just me. You know how we do. I had happened across a FB post George Moxley made that morning. I shared his video on our Parkway page. He related the same idea and the exact same song. I felt a witness of the Spirit. I couldn't help taking it as confirmation. Bro. Moxley told how his orange trees produced nothing last year. But this year, there is every sign of a great harvest. He is looking forward to a lot of orange juice.
The frustration of fearing all your hard labor has been for nothing is a bad feeling. Your work is not in vain. It's harvest time. I claim that for myself, Parkway, and you! "Be not weary in well doing. In due season, you will reap if you faint not" (Gal. 6:9). We love you!
