From the Pastor's Desk


We are to look to the future with hopeful expectancy. Sure, tough moments can come, and God gives grace if and when they do. But we don't live our lives just looking for them. God is a good God Who holds good things in store for us. So we move into the New Year anticipating that the best is yet to come!

What is on my heart is this: we know God has good things ahead, but do we need to leave some things behind and be empowered to move forward? We can get angry with God and with everyone else. Whatever happened or did not happen in 2017, let it go. God has a future for you. Bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness are destiny thieves that will rob you of your future. You must break with your past in order to move forward into the destiny God has for you. Ask God to show you any hidden or repressed memories of events in your life that are bitter and are holding you back. It can happen to individuals and whole groups of people.

We must be flexible to change with God. He is always birthing and releasing new things in His kingdom. Let the hurt go! Stop being stubborn. Move forward!
