From the Pastor's Desk
What have you been intending to do, perhaps for years, but somehow have never gotten around to? I sense it in regard to some things with my life and ministry and with our church. We may go through extended periods of preparation. And that is perfectly legitimate. But there comes a moment when if you are sensitive to the Spirit, you can sense a shift. It's time to take action.
What area would that be for you? It's time to take action. God may work long to get things in place. But don't miss it or talk it to death when it comes. Is it time to move to another commitment level? Is it time to get involved? Is it time to get serious? Is it time to stop making excuses? Is it time to do something? The sooner we move forward, the more people we can help. Good leaders take action.
Hear it in the words of Jesus: "The food that keeps me going is that I do the will of the One who sent me, finishing the work He started. As you look around right now, wouldn't you say that in about four months it will be time to harvest? Well, I'm telling you to open your eyes and take a good look at what's right in front of you. These Samaritan fields are ripe. It's harvest time!" (Jn. 4:34-35 MSG).
