From the Pastor's Desk

When I was a kid, we moved to Northern KY to live for a couple years. It was a tough time for me. It was culture shock. They made fun of the way I talked. Prior to that, I had been pretty outgoing. I withdrew and bought the lie that I needed to tone it down. The problem with believing the lie that you are too much is that you end up believing you are never enough. I don't blame anyone else. I am responsible for how I responded. It has taken me a very long time to overcome some of that.

Though yours may be different than mine, we probably all have life experiences that cause us to shrink back. Do you remember the pill bug? When it is threatened, its defense mechanism is to roll up into a hard, little ball. People tend to do that, too, in one way or another.

The vision of Parkway Ministries is to be a Church That is Totally Free. That means freedom from sin and bondage along with freedom to worship in Spirit and truth. It also means being free to be who you really are. Our hope is for you to find a safe place to experience that here. It's ok. Unpack your bags. You can be free!
