From the Pastor's Desk

God is doing a work in us right now. It has to do with Releasing the Apostolic Spirit. We are presently in a sermon series on this. We will have an All-Night Prayer Meeting on Friday, June 2 from 11pm-6am and a Day of Fasting on Wednesday, June 7 toward this end. This is serious business, and it is the future that God is leading us into.

When the church seeks to be healthy inside, it is not an end unto itself that allows us to be inwardly focused. It is a means to an end so that we might turn our focus outward to reach a hurting world for Christ. When we operate from the sure conviction that we are sent by God (the meaning of "apostle"), it enables us with the authority that we need to see things change.

There was a time in our church a few years ago when it was somewhat difficult to preach and teach about reaching others. There seemed to be a mindset that we were more focused on merely surviving another week. This is shifting now. We must align ourselves with what God is doing. We must see the restoration of a New Testament church in the earth before Jesus returns. The Early Church is not an ideal in scripture. She is the norm of who God wants us to be.
