Rise up, women of God!

This is a day that tugs at our heartstrings, Mother’s Day. For most of us, Mom was a pretty special person in our lives. We honor her today. Perhaps you are visiting with us in church today because your mother asked you to, or because of a special, family connection. If so, we are delighted to have you. If you are not in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we pray that you will be drawn to Him today. Nothing would please your mother more. She has probably been praying for you. But there is something more to this day than merely another holiday. This is a day to speak into the lives of women of all ages. In these last days in which we live, I hear the Spirit of God calling to women in a special way. It is time for you to arise. Rise to your destiny. You are not second-rate to anyone. Rise to be the woman God has called you to be. You are an equal partner in God’s plan for the world at the end of history. Perhaps I feel this pressure more intensely to raise up strong women of God because of the women who live under my own roof. And today, we will honor some mothers of our church who are so deserving. Please take your cue from them. Rise up, women of God! The actresses and models upheld by the media are a pale reflection of God’s original vision for womanhood. We need you, woman of God, more now than ever! Pastors Mark and Jennifer

Most of the time, I just share out of the overflow of what God is speaking to me. But occasionally, there is a need I see in the church or at least in the lives of many people, whom I love. Would you
